Alex and I attended Tree Planting Day at Melaleuca Environmental Park, Lota. on Keyes Street, off Whites Road (UBD Ref 163, R12)

Rotary Club of Wynnum and Manly held the BBQ and invited our Club along.It was a great day, Alex managed to work through her fear of dirt, and we planted heaps of trees and the Rotary club made sure we didn’t dry up or get hungry!There were nearly 70 people at the event and we planted over 1700 locally native plantsSometime this year hopefully we will have a tree planting day of our own! • Bridge to Brisbane (Surf Life Savers Australian)
• Mental Health Awareness (ARHRF Forum http://www.arhrf.org.au/)
• Blood Bank Campain
• Continue supporting The Big Issue, The Mater Foundation and The Children’s Welfare centre in Nepal any way we can (links on home page)
• Harbour international friendships through service
• Continue to develop ourselves professionally though learning new skills (general running of the club) and interesting guest speakers

These are some of the Clubs goals and are in no way limited to just these things the beauty of Rotaract is that we will support as much as we can if a particular member is interested in supporting a cause it goes to the club and we decide if it’s possible. Having lots of little projects keeps us active and interested.
