The annual district conference was held in Toowoomba over the weekend of the 14th-16th March. It was awesome!!! A very generous members family put us up for the weekend (all fifteen of us), and feed us a delicious hot breaky the next morning. This year we had a huge contingent go and we will really stood out in our bright green shirts. It was impressive to see us all together. We had an info stall to rally all our Rotarians to send more ‘young ones’ our way & get the Rotaract name out there. Four members of the gang, and our great mentor shaved their heads for the leukemia foundation and we raised about $5000, which was FANTASTIC. Good on all you guys (and girl), what an awesome achievement. Their were also some awesome, inspiring speakers during the weekend, who really gave us a look at how others live, and give back to the community. The Saturday Night Ball was fabulous, everyone looked fantastic and we had a great night, apart from the not so funny comedian. We CAN’T WAIT till next years Annual District Conference!!!!!

Rotaract is 40 today! so to celebrate Roataract Club of South Brisbane held a Birthday Meeting/Dinner was great, with an impressive 25 people including 2 members from the provisional Rotacat Club of Toowoomba and President of the Rotary Club of South Brisbane Margeret. the food just seem to keep coming, i don’t think there was an empty belly to be seen. The night also saw 7 new members being inducted. WELCOME to the club guys… and over the next two meetings 3 others were inducted. bringing membership to a massive 23.
