The Rotaract Club of South Brisbane is constantly involved in new and existing projects and exciting events. Upcoming activities and events include:

• Maintenance of our adopted road – Jane Street, West End. Join in the next clean up scheduled for Sunday 29 August.
• 5th Week Social Night – next event scheduled for 30 September 2010, with an evening of dinner and rockclimbing.
• Carindale BBQ fundraiser – 11 September.

Previous Events

We have been involved in a wide range of projects and activities over the past years, including:

• Face Painting Stalls at the Morningside Fair, Kite Festival, Special Children’s Picnic, Montrose Access evenings, and Carindale Billycart Championships
• Annual Christmas Party lunch and celebrations for Brisbane Big Issue vendors
• Donations in Kind (assisting Rotary Club of South Brisbane) – packing containers to be sent overseas
• Annual International Dinner to raise funds for a range of international causes including Children’s Welfare Centre Nepal (orphanage), birthing kits for PNG, dental mission in the Philippines, wheelchairs for rural Mexico
• Monthly fundraising BBQ at Carindale Homemaker Centre
• Project Uplift – collection of new and secondhand bras for women in Pacific nations
• Movie night fundraiser
• Collection of dental supplies including toothbrushes and toothpaste for Indian and Philippini communities
• Visiting local elderly homes, and delivering flowers, a cuppa and a chat to residents
• Sales of Rotary Christmas cakes, puddings and more recently shortbread – yum!
